Brisbane, QLD Firm: Conybeare Morrison - Role: Senior Design Architect The ‘superblock’ site will accommodate approximately 288 new residential units and 10400 m² of commercial office space with an additional 4500 m² dedicated to convenience retail areas to support the new population of the development. The site represents a major urban redevelopment opportunity. It is one that includes all the potential to establish activities not found elsewhere at the location and one that, in contemporary urban terms, demands the fulfilment of its potential as a public transport interchange.

Residential Estate
New South Wales Firm: Conybeare Morrison - Role: Project Design Architect
The new residential estate will include 500-600 new dwellings consisting of eight different product types including single-family residences, villas, townhouses, terraced apartments, and six storey apartmets. The project will include a large open space 'Central Park' and will have a recreation precinct consisting of tennis courts and a new wellness/recreation centre.

The site will consist of twenty small environmentally sustainable cluster houses, a permaculture garden, photovoltaics, detention basins, rainwater storage tanks, and permeable paving. The small eco-complex will have a pool and small clubhouse as well.

Camden Community Center
San Jose, CA Firm: The Steinberg Group - Role: Project Design Architect
The new center will include a 8,500 SF Multipurpose Building, a 4,500 SF Teen/Classroom Building and a 7,000 SF Administrative office addition. The project is being designed to incorporate 'Green' Design Strategies in pursuit of LEED Certification. Construction will be completed in the Fall of 2004.

St. Joseph Catholic Church
Fremont, CA Firm: The Steinberg Group - Role: Associate Designer/Architect
The St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish in the Mission District of Fremont is going to be expanding their facilities to include a new 17,000 square foot church and adjacent plaza area. The Master Plan for the project also includes remodeling the existing Parish Hall, relocating the Priest's rectory, and building a new gymnasium, ballfield, and classroom wing. The new Church is adjacent to the historic San Jose Mission and therefore takes on the character of the Mission through the use of clay tile, adobe, and wood. The plan is elliptical and allows for community worship around the sanctuary.

San Jose, CA Firm: The Steinberg Group - Role: Project Design Architect
The Project site consisted of all undeveloped parcels in the Central North Campus of the UC Monterey Bay Science Education and Technology Center. The Master Plan included 38.5 acres formally designated for Research and Development and 16.2 acres designated for Commercial Mixed-Use.

San Jose International Airport
Conceptual Project Firm: The Steinberg Group/Gensler - Role: Design Architect on the Design Team
The Project was in the Conceptual Design Phase and the preliminary elevations above are just some quick concept drawings. The concept for the Master Plan of the new airport was developed and presented to the City Council for approval. The second image above is the design for the North Concourse approved by the City Council. Through a series of Airport Experience Workshops, the Design Team developed a concept that will enhance the passenger experience at the airport and will respond to different needs of various user groups.

Hollywood/Sahara Park Recreation Center
Las Vegas, Nevada Firm: S & H - Role: Senior Design Architect
The 41,000 SF recreation center will be located in a 160-acre master-planned park. The center includes a gym, dance/aerobics room, fitness/weight room, teen room, locker rooms, cooking classoom, arts and crafts classroom, administrative offices and meeting rooms. The project was completed in November 2003.

Consolidated Car Rental Facility
Las Vegas, Nevada Firm: S & H - Role: Senior Design Architect
Development of this site, which is located approximately 3 miles south of the airport, will include three primary components: a customer service building, a parking structure and a vehicle service facility. Site considerations include carefully assigned vehicular and pedestrian circulation routes, storage and staging areas for rental vehicles, landscaping, and way-finding signage. The facility will accommodate eleven rental car agencies. The project will be complete in 2006.

Dallas, Texas Individual Project - Role: Designer
This project was a 166,000 square-foot expansion of the existing center which was located on an extremely dense site. The project included outpatient services, surgery , and intensive care units as well as support services, administration and public areas.

Galvez Marketplace
Galveston Island, Texas Individual Project - Role: Designer
The Galvez Market Project involved the development of a pier structure at the end of 21st Street on the Gulf of Mexico side of Galveston Island. The developers wanted to make it a festive place suitable for a variety of visitors. The program called for a restaurant, retail shops, and condominiums.
